MT. AIRY, OH (FOX19) -

Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Mt. Airy.

Police were called to the intersection of Colerain Ave. and West North Bend Rd. at around 5:50 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Authorities say there were several individuals inside a recording studio when three to four men walked into the studio, started a fight then fired shots.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as James Gaither Jr., 32. Another man was shot in the lower extremities and taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police are not releasing his name at this time.

Homicide detectives are conducting interviews to determine who fired the shots.

The suspects are four males who were driving an older gray Lexus with either a Pennsylvania or New York license plate. The vehicle was last seen heading Eastbound on Colerain Ave.

A witness attempted to follow the suspects until the suspects fired shots into the witness' vehicle. The witness was not injured.
