Two-alarm fire causes minor damages to chemical plant
LATONIA, KY (FOX19) -
Shortly after 9:00a.m. Sunday morning a fire broke out at a chemical plant in Covington, Ky. Crews were called to the 3000 block of Latonia Ave. for signs of an exterior fire at the Silmar Resins Division-Interplastic Corp. building.
Two fire departments along with Haz-Mat arrived on scene and were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
There were no evacuations at the plant. Firefighters say the damages are relatively minor.
