Getting to Houston for Bengals playoff game won't be cheap

Bengals fans who are interested in traveling to Houston to see the Bengals vs. Texas in the playoffs should be warned that the trip won't be cheap.

First, you need to buy your tickets.

'The team, we get a very limited number of tickets and we're already getting plenty of requests from season ticket holders," said Jeff Berding, Bengals Director of Sales.

You can find package deals on ranging from $649 to $729 a person, which includes a ticket, and a hotel room within walking distance to Reliant Stadium.

Or if you want to find your own accommodations, tickets are selling on the NFL ticket exchange for just over $150 a piece.

"We've been selling all morning and obviously we're very excited not only to make the playoffs but to continue building as we have this year into 2012," said Berding.

Fans like Tina Kendrick filled Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday to cheer as the Broncos fell to the Chiefs.

Kendrick, like many fans, cannot afford the trip to Houston, but is picking up her official wildcard weekend shirt from the pro shop, and thinking about buying season tickets for 2012.

"We are trying to look into seeing if maybe somebody wants to go in with us and maybe off set the Sundays we can't go," she said.

"We lowered some of our prices by as much as a third so someone now can attend a game for as little as $40 a ticket," said Berding.

A lower ticket price for a bright 2012 season will hopefully put more fans in the seats.

The Bengals play on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
