The city attorney for Fort Wright has passed away after suffering an apparent heart attack on I-275 Tuesday night.
Peter J. Summe has been the city attorney for Fort Wright since taking over the position from his sister, Patricia Summe, who was elected Kenton Circuit Court judge. He has also been practicing law at his own practice since 1977.
Summe was 60 years old.
Fort Wright has cancelled Wednesday's city council meeting due to the sudden death. City officials say that the meeting has been rescheduled for next Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
