Philadelphia, PA (FOX19) - The hangover that plagued Xavier in the final weeks of 2011 continued as the Muskies started the new year with another loss in Philadelphia. La Salle beat Xavier 80 - 70. It's the Muskies fifth loss in six games since the Crosstown Shootout.
The Explorers went on a 14-0 run on the way to a 46 point first half. La Salle's Earl Pettis finished with 23 points.
Dez Wells and Tu Holloway each had 15 points for XU. The loss is the Muskies' first in an A-10 opener since 2004-05.
