CPS school board defers decision on Price Hill school
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
The Cincinnati Public School Board has decided to postpone its decision to officially close a Price Hill elementary school.
Quebec Heights elementary is targeted due to lack of state funding to build a new school and underachieving students.
The nearly 400 current students are using the Central Fairmount Building as a temporary facility and will be dispersed to other schools in the district if the decision to not construct a new building is made when board members meet again on January 29.
A recent fire and vandalism have already prompted the school board to decided that the old building on Ross Avenue will be demolished.
