HILLSBORO, OH (FOX19) - Investigators with the Ohio Division of State Fire Marshal have determined that Sunday's fire at a historic lumber yard in Hillsboro was a set fire.

The Highland Enterprise Lumber Yard on the 200 block of West Main Street in Hillsboro caught fire Sunday afternoon and was destroyed in a matter of hours.

Investigators have not released exact details on how the fire was set, citing the fact that they are continuing to investigate the incident, and that criminal charges are being considered. However, they have determined that the fire was "a human fire act."

The Division of State Fire Marshal and Hillsboro Fire Department are continuing to ask anyone with information about the fire to contact investigators by calling 1-800-589-2728. Investigators want to hear from anyone who saw something out of the ordinary at or around the time of the fire, or who may have heard someone speaking about the fire with an unusual level of interest or knowledge.
