A program that searches for tutors for Cincinnati Public Schools had its second annual "Be the Change" tutor recruitment campaign Thursday.
The Strive Partnership, Untied Way of Greater Cincinnati, Cincinnati Public Schools and others teamed up for the second straight year to recruit reading and math tutors through the program.
Last year, hundreds of volunteers signed up to help students in high-need elementary schools throughout the CPS district.
Thursday's event was held at the gym at the Rothernberg Academy, but people are still able to volunteer if they were not able to make it. If you are interested, please call BeTheChange@StriveTogether.org or call (513) 929-1343. An online application form is available by clicking here.
Organizers say that students who have a tutor have a much higher rate of academic success.
