Police: Man threatened woman with knife at Boone Co. park

BURLINGTON, KY (FOX19) -
A Burlington man has been arrested after police say he threatened a woman with a knife while she was walking in a Boone County park.
The incident happened at Central Park on Camp Ernst Road at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say a 55-year-old Union woman was walking on a path when she was approached by a man who walked up to her brandishing a green knife and threatened to kill her.
The woman ran into Camp Ernst Road and flagged down a passing motorist, who called 911.
The suspect was described as a white male wearing a gray hoodie with an orange sock hat. Responding deputies immediately set up a perimeter and shortly located a man as described by the victim standing in a tree line.
Derrick Clifton, 38, was taken into custody and charged with alcohol intoxication, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and stalking. Clifton had the green knife on him at the time he was located. Later the victim's car was found to have all four tires slashed.
