City to celebrate recognition as one of best 100 communities for young people

The City of Cincinnati is celebrating its recognition as one of the best communities for young people.

For the second year in a row, America's Promise Alliance has recognized Cincinnati for its initiatives to help young people. The competition recognizes communities across the country that focus on reducing high school dropout rates and providing service and support to their youth.

An awards celebration is being held Tuesday afternoon at Woodward Career Technical High School. This event will kick off a series of community engagement events designed to create and sustain a community-wide dialogue and movement.

These conversations and events will highlight the efforts within the community to provide young people the variety of educational and personal development options necessary to enable them to make personally relevant choices which result in opportunities for individual success in career and life.
