AMBERLEY VILLAGE, OH (FOX19) - Amberley Village Police are continuing to investigate a series of burglaries.
In November 2011, officers arrested a subject for breaking into two homes and attempting to break into a third. That arrest clear multiple burglaries cases in several counties and states.
On Jan. 23, two more suspects were arrested while in the process of breaking into a home. They are also suspects in several other burglaries.
Police say in all the cases, the burglar knocks on the front door or walks around the home to see if anyone is home. Once they determine no one is home, they break a window or door in the rear of the home and make entry.
Police encourage residents to call police when a stranger knocks on their door, and encourage babysitters and children to not answer the door for strangers.
