Ohio birth certificates now available online in Clermont County

BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) - The Clermont County General Health District now offers citizens the opportunity to order an Ohio birth certificate online by using a credit card.

"Since we began issuing birth certificates for people born anywhere in Ohio, we have seen an increased demand for copies of birth certificates," said Clermont County Health Commissioner Marty Lambert.  "A lot of people have a difficult time making it to our office during regular business hours, so the online option will make it easier for them to obtain the documentation they need."

Lambert said when an order is placed for a birth certificate, it is generally mailed within two days of processing; expedited shipping is also available.  Currently, only birth certificates are available online, but obtaining death certificates online may be available in the future.
