Luncheon held for the new Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Field

FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) -

A luncheon was held Thursday afternoon to provide an update on the new Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Field.

The new site will have two fields made of rubber, making it easier for those in wheelchairs to get around.

Former Red Sean Casey was there along with Joe Nuxhall's son, Kim Nuxhall. FOX19's Sheila Gray emceed the event.

"We've given so many things to make this happen, but think about the impact it's going to have on not only the kids playing, but the kids who get to volunteer," said Sean Casey.

The field is expected to be complete in middle to late summer.
