Hundreds show up to watch Tuskegee Airmen documentary

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Hundreds showed up to see a documentary about the Tuskegee Airmen at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Tuskegee Airmen served as the first African American military pilots in the U.S. Armed Forces.

"In spite of segregation and acts of racism, with dignity, professionalism and courage they risked their lives to defend our country and to protect pilots like me," said WWII veteran, Herb Heilbrun.

The crowd got the opportunity to take pictures with the Airmen following the free viewing of the documentary and got to check out the trailer for the George Lucus film, Red Tails.
