Police: Man posed as Duke Energy employee to burglarize house

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

An Over the Rhine man is facing charges after police say he posed as a Duke Energy employee and gained access to a man's home.

William Arruda, 22, is charged with one count of burglary.

According to court documents, Arruda dressed as a Duke employee and entered a home on Vandalia Avenue through a rear entrance.

Meanwhile, his co-defendant and an unknown suspect entered the home with guns drawn and demanded the victim to 'give it up.'

The incident happened on Jan. 5. A warrant was issued for Arruda's arrest on Jan. 27.

Arruda is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
