RIPLEY COUNTY, IN (FOX19) - An Indiana man is facing charges after police found drugs and a gun in his car during a traffic stop earlier this week.
Adam J. Jones, 26, of Holton, was pulled over Monday afternoon in Batesville for a minor traffic violation.
During the course of the traffic stop, an Indiana State Police trooper located items in the vehicle consistent with drug use. During a search of the vehicle, the trooper also found a handgun.
A small amount of heroin and a hypodermic needle was also found on Jones' person.
Jones was taken to the Ripley County Jail for possession of a narcotic drug while in possession of a firearm, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of a handgun without a permit.
