CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati's casino developer and construction team have received approval from the city to clear a 60' by 60' section of the casino floor that collapsed last week.
Crews were on site Thursday bracing restricted areas, preparing them for demolition that will begin Friday morning. Then they will then rebuild the section.
13 workers were injured last week while they were pouring a section of concrete floor. A worker remains in serious condition.
OSHA has completed their initial onsite inspection of the area, and are continuing to investigate the incident. They have not released any details of their investigation.
On Wednesday, about 100 workers returned to unrestricted sections of the construction site to resume work. In the coming weeks, the workforce will gradually increase back to about 200 workers daily.
