Kings Island buzzing this off-season

MASON, OH (FOX19) -

Kings Island is now accepting online applications to fill 4,000 positions before the season opens on April 28.

Employees are needed in almost all areas including admissions, call center, cash control, entertainment, food and beverage, fire and safety, games, guest services, lifeguards, merchandise, rides, security, sweeps and warehouse. To be eligible you must be at least 15 years old.

Jobs aren't the only news coming from Kings Island this off season. There is work being done almost all over the park.  The Invertigo roller coaster, formerly known as Face Off, is getting a fresh paint job to celebrate the park's 40th anniversary season. The ride's red and yellow color scheme will now shine with an aqua colored track and royal blue support beams.

The park also announced that The Crypt will be replaced an "all new Halloween Haunt experience." Kings Island also plans to release a new mobile app before the seasons open. Progress is still being made on the new Soak City water park that opens May 26.
