CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The new Moerlein Lager House at Smale Riverfront Park in downtown Cincinnati opened to the public on Monday.
The restaurant will accommodate 500 indoor patrons and seating for 600 in its outdoor beer gardens and will feature on-site brewing. Tours of the restaurant's brewery will be available.
In honor of the opening, Christian Moerlein has commissioned the production of a limited edition Rookwood Pottery stein to commemorate the opening of the lager house. The stein, which was unveiled at the grand opening gala on Feb. 25, depicts images of the lager house at the Banks, a street scene at the site of the original Christian Moerlein Brewery, and early Cincinnati riverfront images.
