CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A murder suspect wanted in North Carolina has been found and arrested in the tri-state.

Devon Gayles, 36, was arrested on Wednesday by the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team in conjunction with Detectives from the Asheville North Carolina Police Department in Forest Park.

Officers determined that Gayles was moving into a residence on Gresham Place in Forest Park.

He was taken into custody without incident and is currently at the Hamilton County Justice Center awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.

Asheville Police put out a warrant for Gayles arrest after the Christmas Eve 2011 murder of Anthony Carter.

Carter suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest inside of a downtown Asheville bar.

The investigation revealed that Carter had been in an argument inside the bar with the Gayles just prior to the shooting.
