WAYNE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A Wayne Township home is a complete loss after a fire Saturday.
The fire started at around 8:45 am on Cotton Run Rd. When fire crews arrived at the scene, the house was reportedly engulfed in flames. Four people who were in the house at the time escaped safely.
Crews had to battle the fire and 40 mph winds for several hours to get things under control.
Shortly after crews knocked down the fire and cleared the scene, the fire rekindled, and crews returned to battle the fire for another couple of hours.
Fire departments from Wayne Township, Seven Mile, Madison Township, St. Clair Township, and Trenton all battled the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is believed that an electrical heater is to blame.
