Gateway holds African American Recruitment Fair

COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

Gateway Technical College held an African American Recruitment Fair on Sunday afternoon.

The event is part of a statewide Super Sunday minority recruiting initiative and featured information on admissions, academic programs and much more. Rev. Richard Fowler, pastor of the Ninth Street Baptist Church and vice chair of the Gateway board of directors, and Ed Hughes, president/CEO of Gateway gave remarks at the Recruitment Fair.

"Our congregation is pleased to participate as the host church," said Rev. Fowler. "The fair gives us an opportunity to reinforce to all students that a quality education is the best preparation to be able to find a good job."

The goal of the fair is to increase the college completion rate of African American students.
