Presidential hopeful Rick Santorum is coming to the Tri-State

MASON, OH (FOX19) -

Presidential candidate hopeful Rick Santorum is making two stops in the Tri-State on Friday.

Senator Santorum will attend the General Reception of the Lincoln Reagan Dinner in Mason held by the Warren County Republican Party. Santorum has a private reception there. Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell is the dinner's keynote speaker.

"We are excited to have a presidential candidate attend our Lincoln Reagan event," said Jeff Monroe, Warren County Republican Party Chairman. "Warren County plays a pivotal role in Ohio politics and we look forward to hearing from Sen. Santorum."

Senator Santorum will speak during the general reception at 6 p.m.

Republicans in Brown County say Santorum will also headline their Lincoln Day dinner Friday night.

Santorum also is scheduled to speak Saturday at an Ohio Christian Alliance luncheon in Columbus and later to Summit County Republicans in Akron.

This will be the Pennsylvania Senator's first stop in Ohio.
