BURLINGTON, KY (FOX19) - Two Canadian men were arrested for possessing credit/debit card skimmers after a traffic stop Monday in Boone County.
A Boone County Sheriff's Deputy stopped Erdem Sarikus, 25, Mehmet Gun, 32 for speeding on Interstate 71 in Verona.
The deputy spoke with both man and detected certain inconsistencies in their stories, so he delved a bit deeper and found the skimmers in the glove compartment of the rented car.
The deputy found two credit card readers, a jumper cable for downloading information and double sided tape for adhering the device to the front of an ATM.
Both men were charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and lodged in the Boone County Detention Center.
