FRANKLIN COUNTY, IN (FOX19) -
David Ison, the man accused of killing five people in Franklin County, pleaded guilty on Tuesday.
Ison originally pleaded not guilty to five counts of murder in the September slayings of Roy Napier, 50, his estranged wife, Angela, 47; their children, Melissa, 23, and Jacob, 18, and neighbor, Henry X. Smith, 43, in Laurel, Ind. Investigators say Ison killed the family over drugs.
The plea came after prosecutors said they would not seek the death penalty against Ison.
Ison's formal sentencing is scheduled for March 14 at 9 a.m.
