FAYETTEVILLE, OH (FOX19) - Brown County police have arrested a Fayetteville man they say assaulted his wife and child.
Police were called to a house on Schlitz Drive on a domestic violence call at around 9:45 pm Monday. When police arrived at the scene, they say that a woman told police she and her child were assaulted by her husband.
A few hours later, police located the vehicle that he allegedly fled in at an abandoned house on Halle Drive. The man had covered the vehicle in construction debris in an attempt to hide the vehicle. When police pulled up into the driveway, a man was seen running through the woods.
K-9 units were called in to track the suspect. The dogs were able to find the suspect, along with a stolen drill which had been taken from the residence, a purse which had been taken from the Domestic Violence victim, and a shotgun which had been hidden in the grass.
Jason Metcalfe, 32, was identified as the suspect, and was taken to the Brown County Detention Center where he was charged with two counts of Domestic Violence. Charges of Breaking & Entering and Theft are also pending against Metcalfe.
