ELMWOOD PLACE, OH (FOX19) - Elmwood Police say a pedestrian has died after an accident Thursday morning.
The accident happened just before 7 a.m. at the intersection of Maple and Vine streets. That intersection was closed for over two hours while police conducted an investigation.
The 53-year-old male was reportedly unresponsive when crews arrived on the scene. He was taken to University Hospital, where he died. His name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Witnesses say the victim was laying in the street when he was struck, but it's unclear why he would have been in the street. Police say he was nearly hit by two other cars after being struck by the first car.
Investigators are trying to determine if charges will be filed.
