WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - A Franklin man pled guilty to Aggravated Murder, among other charges, in the Warren County Court of Common Pleas on Wednesday.
Authorities say Jay Clark, 21, entered the victim's home in Lebanon on Sept. 25, 2011. Clark then stole several cell phones before firing two shots at the victim. The victim was hit by one of the bullets and collapsed on the ground. Clark shot the victim one more time in the head at close range. He then fled the scene and discarded the gun along with the stolen phones.
Ohio State High Patrol and the Warren County Sheriff's Office stopped Clark a short time later. Authorities say he later admitted to firing the fatal shots.
Clark pled guilty to Aggravated Murder, a gun specification to Aggravated Murder and Tampering with Evidence. He faces more than 30 years in prison.
