Tuskegee Airmen inspire local elementary kids

EVENDALE, OH (FOX19) - Three original Tuskegee Airmen gave 300 local elementary students a history lesson on Wednesday morning.

GE Aviation's African American Forum hosted the day-long event, which included the children watching the program then touring a traveling Tuskegee museum.

The Tuskegee Airmen were present during the day to talk about their experiences with the children.

"They come with a message, inspiring them, telling them about the importance of education, mathematics and technology and just really giving them that path to having successful careers themselves," said the president of the African American Forum at GE Aviation, Randall Stokes.
