American Idol journey ends for Eben Franckewitz

LOS ANGELES, CA (FOX19) - Eben Christian Franckewitz's journey to Hollywood came to an end on Thursday as he was not selected to be in American Idol's Top 13.

The 15-year-old Milford High School student did not receive enough votes to make America's Top 10 and he did not earn a spot as one of the wild card candidates.

Eben made it through several rounds of auditions in Pittsburgh, Hollywood and Las Vegas before making it as one of the Top 24.

Eben had support throughout the Milford community as he sang songs from Bill Withers, Duffy, and Adele on national television.

Deandre Brackensick, Hollie Cavanaugh, Colton Dixon, Heejun Han, Jermaine Jones, Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet, Shannon Magrane, Phillip Phillips, Jeremy Rosado, Jessica Sanchez, Elise Testone, and Erika Van Pelt make up American Idol's Top 13.

On Wednesday, March 7 from 8 to 10 p.m., American Idol celebrates its 400th episode. The top 13 will be mentored by Mary J. Blige as the guys take on the music of Stevie Wonder and the ladies pay special tribute to Whitney Houston.

The following night, Thursday, March 8 from 8 to 9 p.m., America finds out who received enough votes to continue in the competition and who will be sent home. In addition, singing sensation Mary J. Blige takes the stage to perform and Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina returns to perform her smash hit Georgia Peach.
