Teenager struck by a car in Cold Spring

COLD SPRING, KY (FOX19) - A teenager has been transported to an area hospital after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the 17-year old was hit just before 3:30 p.m. near US-27 and Pooles Creek in Cold Spring. Preliminary investigation reveals that the teen was skateboarding across the street when he was hit by a 2005 Hyundai operated by Barry L. Binkley, 70, of Alexandria.

The teen was not wearing a helmet, and the Hyundai had the right of way.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

There is no word on the victim's current condition.
