NEW MIAMI, OH (FOX19) - A fire broke loose in Butler County Saturday afternoon.
The first and second floor of a home on Seven Mile Avenue were destroyed after a fire broke out shortly after noon.
Two women and a man were inside, they had to be rescued by police and fire crews.
One of women walked away from the scene. The other was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
During the rescue of the victims three sheriff deputies suffered smoke inhalation and also were taken by ambulance to the hospital.
The male victim, Robin Collins, suffered burns and smoke inhalation and was transported to the hospital. Collins later died from his injuries at University Hospital on Sunday.
This fire is still under investigation.
