Former Butler County Commissioner sentenced to 4 years in prison

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Former Butler County commissioner Michael Fox was sentenced Monday to federal prison on fraud charges.

Fox, 63, appeared in the federal courtroom of Judge Sandra Beckwith in a wheelchair.

Fox plead guilty last year to one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and one count of filing a false income tax return.

He admitted to committing those acts of public corruption while he was a member of the Butler County Board of Commissioners.

Judge Beckwith denied Fox home incarceration and sentenced him to 48 months for one count and 36 months for the second to run concurrently.
