Sale of Drake Center finalized

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Hamilton County commissioner Todd Portune says the county's sale of the Drake Center to UC Health is final.

Hamilton County will get $15 million for the sale, which will be used to pay a $14 million shortfall for Paul Brown Stadium and Great American Ballpark for 2012. The agreement will save the owner of a $100,000 home $47 a year in taxes.

The vote was 2-1 during the meeting of Hamilton County Commissioners. Greg Hartmann was the only one who voted against it. The sale of the hospital was organized by commissioners Todd Portune and Chris Monzel.
