CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Hamilton County OVI task force is mixing up sober ways to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and March Madness.
The task force kicked off the annual Mocktail event at Bethesda North Hospital on Wednesday. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the impact of drunk driving in our communities. According to the Hamilton County OVI task force, drunk driving is one of Ohio's deadliest crimes with more than 400 OVI-related fatalities in Ohio last year.
"Having a designated driver saves lives and is a much better option than serving jail time and losing your license," said Blue Ash Police Lieutenant Steve Schueler.
The event included a creative contest to find the best non-alcoholic drink options. Awards were given out for best taste, best presentation, best name and overall best drink.
