CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A preliminary injunction has been put in place that will keep the city of Cincinnati from enforcing new laws passed on dealing with scrap metal.
The new rules would require licenses for those who sell scrap metals as well as payments to customers by check.
Two local scrap yard owners filed a lawsuit last month after Cincinnati city council passed the new requirements. Hamilton County County Common Pleas Judge Robert Winkler agreed with the scrap metal companies, and put the injunction in place.
There is no word at this time when a permanent injection hearing would be heard.
