CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Dozens of people lined up at Kenwood Mall to be the first to get their hands on iPad 3.

Some say they showed up early Thursday night to get in line.

People came in from Dayton and Northern Kentucky to wait in line.

One man we spoke to from China said he stopped by during his business trip.

Even people who had pre-ordered the new device showed up in the wee hours of the morning.

One man said he came by after an eight-hour shift to pick up the iPad for his wife, hoping to win brownie points.

People in line told our reporter that they are most excited about the new screen quality and the 4G capability.

The iPad 3 starts at $499.
