WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) -

A Lakota West High School student died after a car accident which occurred on Saturday.

According to authorities, Zeke Stepaniak was driving a Chevy Cobalt when he collided with another vehicle at the intersection of SR-747 and Hamilton Mason. Sophomore Ashley Stacy was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries, her condition had improved by Sunday. Sophomores Rudi Danquah, Cameron Winters and Nathan Phu were all treated for minor injuries and released.

The principal of Lakota West, Richard Hamilton, says Stepaniak will be missed.

"Zeke was an outstanding young man. He was a bright, caring member of the Lakota West community who will be missed," said Hamilton.

The school's staff sent out a note to students and parents to tell them about the tragic news. Counselors were on hand for students and staff on Sunday afternoon. About 70 students went to the school to grieve.
