Participants take steps in the right direction in Heart Mini Marathon

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Sunday Morning  runners and walkers hit the pavement in Cincinnati, for the Heart Mini Marathon.

The 1,800 plus joined the team, raising over one-million dollars for the American Heart Association.

The top five men finishers in the Heart Half Marathon were:

  1. Blake Whitney 1:14:09
  2. Breylen Derrick 1:15:19
  3. Drew Kaiser 1:15:19
  4. Matthew Blake 1:15:59
  5. Dan Burnett 1:16:30

The top five women finishers in the Heart Half Marathon were:

  1. Heather Backer 1:25:05
  2. Kerry Lee 1:29:05
  3. Anita Le 1:29:56
  4. Katherine Lewnard 1:32:02
  5. Cristy Doll 1:32:47

The top five men finishers in the Heart 15K Mini Marathon were:

  1. Derrick Butler 47:47
  2. Chris Reis 48:09
  3. Tommy Huffman 48:39
  4. Chris Herren 50:03
  5. Eric Bair 50:41

The top five women finishers in the Heart 15K Mini Marathon were:

  1. Amy Robillard 56:29
  2. Becky Clark 56:37
  3. Rachel Bea 56:59
  4. Karen Berndt 59:50
  5. Alison Delgado 59:56

There were several different events that runners and walkers could participate in. There was even a 2k kids event.

Queen City Sausage was in also attendance . They were cooking-up Goetta sliders for participants.
