COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Five people including a toddler have been transported to area hospitals after a multi-vehicle crash.

Sometime just before 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Colerain Township Fire and EMS crews were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash with entrapment in the 7200 block of Harrison Avenue in the Taylor creek area.

Arriving units found one vehicle into a utility pole with several occupants and one pickup truck over the embankment and upside down near the creek bed.

The two elderly occupants of the pickup truck were out of the vehicle and being attended to by passersby when fire crews arrived on the scene.  Both were subsequently transported to Mercy Fairfield.

The vehicle that struck the utility pole had three occupants, including a toddler that was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital for precautions.  The two front seat occupants were transported to University Hospital for more serious injuries.

Harrison Avenue was shut down at Althaus.
