Cash, cigars taken during Colerain Twp. robbery

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Police are looking for a suspect who took cash and cigars during an aggravated robbery in Colerain Township Tuesday morning.

It happened around 2:15 a.m. at the Shell gas station in the 9700 block of Colerain Avenue.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says a man entered the store, displayed a small caliber revolver with a wooden handle and demanded cash from the drawer. The employee opened the drawer, and the suspect got away with cash and cigars from the display rack.

The suspect left the store and was last seen going northeast through the parking lot. K-9 units were called to the scene to find him, but couldn't.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25 years old with a thin build. He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, dark pants, a black knit hat and an unknown type of mask.

Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040 or the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office at 513-825-1500.
