FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) - A pit bull who was abandoned at a Butler County park has been adopted.

Audrey was found in December after what animal control officers called one of the worst cases of starvation and abandonment.

She was the first adoption of Louie's Legacy's "Pittie Party," which focuses on pit bull adoption and education. Her adoptive owner is also one of the vet techs who cared for her at the Animal Care Center in Fairfield.

Audrey's feet continue to heal, but it is unclear if they will ever be normal.  Despite it, Audrey (now Lila) is able to go on leashed walks and play in the yard.

Louie's Legacy is a non-profit all-breed rescue.
