MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - A pair of suspects led police on a chase after shots were fired in the parking lot of a Middletown bar.
Just before 2 a.m. Friday morning, police received a report of shots fire in the parking lot of Take a Break Bar on Jackson Lane.
Upon arrival, police observed a bar patron exiting the bar and holding an object through his shirt in his waistline. He got in the passenger side of a Jeep Cherokee, which drove through the parking lot towards Jackson Lane.
Police ordered the vehicle to stop, but the driver refused, and a short pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended in the dead end of Marshall Road, south of Bonita. Both suspects then fled on foot. Multiple officers from Middletown, Warren and Butler counties and Monroe assisted in the ultimate capture of the suspects.
Isaiah Conley, of Middletown, was the driver. He is charged with two counts of eluding a police officer, reckless operation, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and seat belt required. He was apprehended in the 4700 block of Freedom Court.
Chris Lewis, the passenger, is charged with obstructing official business, resisting arrest and seat belt required. He was apprehended near Lefferson and Breiel.
Police found six spend 9mm shells and 1 live 9mm round in the bar parking lot. Video footage and evidence collection are continuing.
