CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A partnership between the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County to bring in donations for tornado victims has collected over 3,000 pounds of items.
The one-day collection drive on March 20 resulted in 3,300 pounds of donations to benefit Matthew 25 Ministries, which will distribute the items to the tornado victims in Clermont County.
Donations will continue to accepted at all Hamilton County Sheriff's Patrol Stations until noon on Friday. Needed items include non-perishable food, personal care and cleaning products, baby supplies and first-aid items.
"I am proud of the outpouring of support from our local residents for our Clermont County neighbors," said Hamilton County Commissioner Greg Hartmann. "This donation drive was also an opportunity to continue the public awareness about the needs of Greater Cincinnati victims affected by the recent severe weather."
