CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Bomb Squad is on the scene of a what residents described as a "Drano bomb" incident.
It's happening right now near the intersection of State Avenue and Staebler Street in Lower Price Hill.
Just before noon, residents called in a "Drano bomb" they say had been set off in between two cars. District Two Fire Chief Michael Zimmerman says they are working to confirm the exact chemical ingredients used to set off the small bomb but say that it was encased in aluminum foil which exploded onto the sidewalk.
No one was hurt and fire officials say there was no property damage. Zimmerman says this incident is the first of its kind that he is aware of in the neighborhood.
The bomb squad is investigating but as of right now, there are no suspects. Fire officials say so far no witnesses have been identified. They say residents called in the bomb only after hearing the explosion.
