Mega Millions cash option largest in history

(FOX19) -

The jackpot for Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot is up to an estimated $363 million.

That's the fourth largest jackpot of any game ever offered in U.S. history.

The cash option for Tuesday's drawing currently stands at $259.8 million, making it the largest ever offered in U.S. history. This shatters the previous $240 million cash record, set for a $380 million Mega Millions jackpot in January 2011.

The $1 game is sold in 42 states and Washington D.C., including Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

Players have until 10:44 p.m. Tuesday night to buy their ticket. Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday evening. For an additional $1 per play, you can add Megaplier to your purchase to multiply your winnings.

Overall odds of cash prize are 1 in 40.
