CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

An Elmwood Place woman is facing charges after police say she was abusing a 75-year-old man who she was supposed to be caring for.

Jacqueline Jackson, 52, is charged with one count of assault.

According to Hamilton County court documents, Jackson was living with a man who she was supposed to be a caretaker for. The victim told police that Jackson would strike him and hit him with anything that she could, including broom handles, causing him to have welts on his back. His colostomy bag had also not been emptied for several days.

Jackson told police that she was trying to care for the man, but couldn't do it anymore.
