UPDATE: Vacant home destroyed in fire

CARTHAGE, OH (FOX19) - A vacant Carthage home is destroyed in an early morning fire.

Firefighters were called to a home at the intersection of 69th and Vine around 1:30 Monday morning.

Officials say that when they arrived, fire had engulfed the home.

Crews tell FOX19 that it took about 30 minutes to put out the fire but some hot spots remain.

No one was hurt but firefighters are calling the home a total loss.

Firefighters on the scene tell FOX19 the house is known in the neighborhood for drug activity.

This is the third fire at a so-called drug house in the past week, so investigators believe they were all intentionally set.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but officials say it is suspicious.
