BLOOMINGTON, IN (FOX19) - We are learning new information on the search for missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer.
According to FOX59 in Indianapolis, Bloomington police say they are waiting on DNA results on some remains found in mid-March.
WEHT-TV reported the remains were found in the woods near Newton, Ill. The town is located approximately 2 ½ hours away from Bloomington.
The Illinois State Crime Lab is expected to know by the end of the month if the DNA matches Spierer's.
