Chief James Craig met with community leaders and concerned citizens to discuss putting an end to the violent crime in Cincinnati, especially in Avondale.
The group met at the New Friendship Baptist Church on Wednesday night in response to several shootings, including a drive-by wounding a 4-year-old boy.
Many citizens think Chief Craig is on the right track to ending this violence.
"You bring everybody to the table and when you bring them in to the table, you set a standard, this is how it's gonna be in the community from now on," said Jesse Roley, a Bond Hill business owner.
Chief Craig has announced patrols will be increased in the area to help prevent these crimes.
"We have to let the few out there know that this is not tolerable, this is not how we're going to live," said Chief Craig.
